Most people track what they eat. Almost nobody tracks what they burn. That's the gap you've been missing.
Most people think calories out means their workout. It doesn't. The gym burns 300–400 calories at most. Your movement throughout the rest of the day — walking, standing, being on your feet — burns far more than that.
This is called NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis). Steps are the most direct, controllable measure of it. When your steps are consistent, your burn is consistent. And when your burn is consistent, you're in a real deficit — every day, not just some days.
Here's the good news: steps are the easiest number in your whole plan to control. No meal prep, no shopping lists, no guessing at portions. You set one target in the morning and you hit it. That's why it's the first thing I standardize when someone starts coaching with me — one number, the same every day, no negotiation.
Now here is the truth.
Most people who get this still won't get lean. Not because the plan doesn't work. It does. But knowing the plan and actually carrying it out are two completely different things.
That's exactly the gap I close. I take everything above and rebuild it around you — your numbers, your starting point, your schedule. I adjust week by week as your body responds, and I make sure you don't quit when it gets uncomfortable. That's where most people quit. And that's actually what gets people lean.
